- 1). Download and install the Zune software (see Resources for link).
- 2). Plug the dock end of the device's cable into the bottom of the Zune device, and insert the USB end of the Zune cable into your PC's available USB port.
- 3). Click "Start" in the bottom-left corner of your desktop screen, click "All Programs," "Zune" and "Zune Software" to run the device's program.
- 4). Click the "Agree" button to accept the device's license agreement, and follow the software's on-screen instructions to complete the device setup process.
- 5). Select "All" in the Synchronization window if you wish to sync all of your music and videos to the portable media player, or click "Manual Sync" if you wish to pick and choose the content for synchronization.
- 6). Unplug the Zune 80 once the synchronization process is complete, and brush your finger against the circular pad to scroll through the device's menu. Press the "Play" button to select a song or video, and press the left arrow button to return to the previous menu. According to the official Zune site, pressing the top and bottom of the circular pad will also scroll up. Pushing the left or right side of the circular pad skips backward and forward during playback.
