- 1). Use painter's tape to mark off the areas you want to stain. If you are staining the entire surface, there is no need for the tape.
- 2). Soak the concrete surface to aid in the stain absorption process.
- 3). Pour the liquid stain into the stain sprayer as directed in the sprayer instructions.
- 4). Test the spray pressure on a piece of cardboard and adjust the pressure until you are comfortable.
- 5). Lightly spray one section of the concrete. Spray the mist from one end of the concrete section to the other without overlapping. If the stain is too light, apply a second coating and then move on to the next section.
- 6). Let the stain dry for 24 hours.
- 7). Pour the sealant into the paint pan, and push the roller through it until completely covered. Remove the excess by rolling it over the textured side of the pan.
- 8). Lightly roll the sealant over the concrete in one direction for a smooth and thin coating. Allow 24 to 48 hours of drying time before walking on the concrete.
