- 1). Wash out the out the sink with hot water and a drop or two of liquid dish detergent. Rinse with hot water.
- 2). Soak a clean washcloth in white vinegar. Wring out excess liquid and scrub the sink with the cloth.
- 3). Sprinkle a light dusting of baking soda into the sink and then scrub with a brush made of soft nylon bristles. Anything more abrasive than this will scratch the sink's surface.
- 1). Mix three parts cream of tartar with one part hydrogen peroxide in a bowl.
- 2). Place the mixture on a damp towel and massage it into the sink. Allow the tartar paste to set until it becomes dry.
- 3). Wipe away the mixture with a damp cloth and rinse residue if necessary.
- 4). Rub the steel sink with a few drops of olive oil to give it a shiny appearance. Massage it into the sink with a clean, dry towel.
