- 1). Mix 1 cup of rubbing alcohol and 1 cup of water together in a small bowl. Dampen a sponge with the solution and wring it out to remove excess. Use the sponge to wipe down the moldy leather.
- 2). Mix 1 cup of water and 2 tbsps. of mild dish soap in a small bowl. Dampen a sponge with the solution and wring it out, then wipe down the moldy surface. Rinse out the sponge with fresh water and wipe the leather again to remove soap residue.
- 3). Allow the leather to dry completely. Apply a quarter-sized amount of leather conditioner to a soft cloth, then use circular motions to rub the conditioner into the leather. You may need to use more or less, depending on the size of the item.
