The Wade Antenna Corporation, based on Brantford, Ontario, provides a variety of antennas that range from cable television and telecommunications to wireless installations. After acquiring the TACO Antenna and Delhi Antenna companies, it also includes shipboard communications antennas for military and government clients. The Golden Nugget (GN) towers are large self-standing towers for TV antenna and wireless antenna installations that can also be placed on a tower or supporting structure, after consultation from a qualified engineer.

    General Features

    • The GN tower includes precision-swaged legs and braces made from galvanized steel with Everdur welding for additional high strength. Each section of the tower is pressure tested, especially at the weld points, which must pass the minimum strength requirement. The sleeve bearing can accommodate masts of up to 1.5 inches in diameter. The overall load limit of up to a three-square-foot projected wind area must be mounted no more than two sections above the house bracket for optimum durability. For greater loads or heights above the house bracket, guy wires are highly recommended.

    Sections

    • The GN tower consists of four different sections made from galvenized steel and Everdur welding points pressure tested for strength: GN18T (18-gauge top section, 9.6 feet in length), GN18S (18-gauge straight section, 10 feet in length), GN16T (16-gauge top section, 9.6 feet in length) and the GN16S (16-gauge straight section, 10 feet in length).

    Accessories

    • There are a number of accessories for the GN tower that include the "U" house bracket (GNUHB) and the universal house bracket (GNHB), which consists of arms 3 feet in length and 1 inch in diameter. There is also the 3-inch hinge-up base (GN3HU), the 16-gauge base plate (GNBP), the climb shield (CS-GN), the guy station (GS-GN), and the set of three galvanized-steel drive stakes (DMBS) that are 1.25 inches in diameter and 3 feet in length.
