- 1). Look at the back of the television and locate the vertical holes. Align the left and right vertical mounting rails over the holes and slide a washer over the screws provided with the mount. Tighten each screw fully with a screwdriver. The packaging provides multiple screw sizes to fit various models of televisions.
- 2). Walk to the wall where you want to install the mount. Slide a stud finder across it until it lights up, which indicates the location of a wall stud. Mark the spot with a pencil.
- 3). Hold the wall mount up to the mark and place a level on top of it. Adjust the mount until the air bubble in the level is centered. Insert a pencil through each screw hole to mark the wall. Set the mount aside.
- 4). Insert a 1/8- to 1/4-inch drill bit into a drill. Create a 1-inch hole at the location of each marked screw hole.
- 5). Set the drill aside. Hold the mount back up to the wall, aligning the holes with those in the wall. Insert the provided washers over the lag bolts, then insert the bolts into the screw holes and tighten them with a screwdriver.
- 6). Pick up the television and position the upper notch on the television bracket over the top part of the wall mount. Push the bottom portion of the television toward the wall until you hear the bottom bracket click into place.
