- 1). Press the "Power" switch on the top of the camera to the "On" position.
- 2). Turn the "Mode" dial on the top of the camera to "Auto" mode, which is symbolized by a rectangle with nothing in the middle of it.
- 3). Press the "Menu" button on the back of the camera, above the LCD screen. The main menu will appear on the screen.
- 4). Push the left or right arrow button on the back of the camera to switch between the menu tabs until the tab with the camera symbol with one rectangle is highlighted. You'll notice the Canon T2i camera menu also has camera symbols with two and three rectangles, which are not used for making sound adjustments.
- 5). Press the down arrow button until "Beep" is highlighted in the menu and press the "Set" button. The "Set" button is located in the middle of the arrow buttons.
- 6). Push the right arrow button so "Disable" appears in the menu and press the "Set" button.
- 7). Press "Menu" to return to exit the menu system.
