- 1). Throw a blanket over the TV and lay it face down. Grab the TV base and fit it in the openings at the bottom of the TV. Push the TV base all the way in and fit the base screws through the back of the TV. Tighten the screws with a Phillips screwdriver so the screws tighten into the TV base.
- 2). Lift the TV up and set it on your TV stand so the base is supporting its weight. Turn the TV so you can easily see and access the back, where all the input ports are.
- 3). Plug the female port of the TV's electrical plug into the matching port on the unit, then plug the male end of the plug into a wall outlet. On the older TVs, the electrical plug was permanently connected to the TV, but many newer TVs have electrical plugs that detach from the TV.
- 4). Plug the antenna or coaxial cable into the "Antenna In" RF connector. The RF connector is the threaded nob that sticks out of the TV. It's the same connector where older TVs connect to an antenna.
- 5). Put batteries in the remote and press the menu button. Select the option that most closely resembles "Find channels" or "Search for Channels." Allow the TV time to fully search for all available channels. When the TV is done scanning, it will be tuned and ready to watch.
