How to Keep Leeches Alive

    • 1). Drop the leeches into a plastic foam container. They should have enough room to swim around.

    • 2). Fill the container with water that has not been softened and that does not contain chlorine.

    • 3). Place a lid on the plastic foam container.

    • 4). Place the container in a refrigerator and store it at 35 to 40 degrees.

    • 5). Remove any dead leeches from the container each day. Change the water every 24 to 48 hours.
