- 1). Remove any remaining husk or dried kernels of corn from a dried corn cob. Use a knife to remove the husk or kernels.
- 2). Smooth the rough sides of the cob with coarse grit sandpaper. Change to a medium then fine grit paper for a smoother finish.
- 3). Cut the corn cob with a knife into the desired length for the bobber. Use a 2-inch bobber as a starting point, then add or reduce the length as needed.
- 4). Drill a hole through the center of the corn cob with a drill and 3/8 inch bit.
- 5). Insert a short stick or twig into the hole in the corn cob bobber to use as a line stop.
- 6). Use the corn cob bobber by feeding your fishing line through the hole in the cob. Position the bobber in the desired location on the line. Peg the bobber in place by inserting the twig or stick into the drilled hole to wedge the bobber on the line.
