- 1). Open iTunes on your computer.
- 2). Click the iTunes "Help" menu and select "Check for Update."
- 3). If updates are available, click "Update Now" in the pop-up box, and restart iTunes after the update completes.
- 4). Plug the iPod cable into the bottom of the iPod and into the USB port on your PC to sync your iPod.
- 1). Exit out of iTunes if you're currently in it. Click the "Start" button on the PC's desktop and click "Control Panel." If you're using Windows XP, click "Add or Remove Programs" in the Control Panel. If you're using Vista or Windows 7, click "Uninstall a program" under the Programs section.
- 2). Click the "Change/Remove" button on the iTunes tab for Windows XP, or click the iTunes tab and click "Uninstall" at the top of the window in Windows Vista and Windows 7.
- 3). Follow the onscreen instructions to complete the uninstallation.
- 4). Go to Apple's iTunes site (see Resources section) and click the "Download iTunes" button.
- 5). Enter your email address in the appropriate field and click the "Download Now" button. Click "Next" and follow the onscreen instructions to complete the installation of iTunes.
- 6). Plug the iPod cable into the bottom of the iPod and into the USB port on your PC to sync your iPod.
