- 1). Clean your car off so you can get a good idea where the paint is that you are going to remove and what may only be dirt. Prepare a bucket of soap and water to wash it with. Give your car a quick wash and dry.
- 2). Try sanding a small spot as a test before you do a really big area. Hand sand the paint marks carefully with wet sandpaper. Sand the car until all of the paint marks disappear. Be careful not to remove your paint’s clear coat (this is the top of your car’s paint).
- 3). Polish with a polishing compound to bring back the clear coats’ original shine, because sanding will leave it dull. Use a moist sponge to rub the compound in.
- 4). Give the polished area a little time to soak in and dry.
- 5). Wax the whole car. The car should look as good as new.
