SINGING – The Sacramento Realtist Association hosts the Sac Idol Singing Competition. Lady Stephanie hosts. Prizes are $5,000 for first place, $2,500 for second place, and $1,500 for third. Twenty-four finalists compete for title.

FUNDRAISER - "Tee Up For a Cure" organized by Maxine Phillips and Friends to raise money for the Imani Breast Health Education and Support Group. Nine-Holes Shot Gun Start-Best Ball, 72 players, four person teams. Men, women or mixed teams OK.
When: Sept. 30, 8 a.m. check in, 9 a.m. tee time
Location: William Land Golf Course, 1701 Sutterville Rd, Sac
Cost: $75 per golfer (green fee, lunch and tee package), $50 mini golf clinic (beginners only with a 10 a.m. start, lunch and tee package), and $25 guest (lunch and tee package)
