Downtown Detroit Hotels Near Greektown Casinos

    Greektown Casino Hotel

    • Located on East Lafayette Street, the hotel shares its site with Greektown Casino. As such, the hotel has a number of stay and play packages in conjunction with the casino. The hotel is ideally-placed for access to the Chrysler Freeway, which guests can use to explore downtown Detroit. Given its large size, the casino and hotel have a wide selection of food and drink options, including Bistro 555; the International Buffet, with an all you can eat offer for $18, as of January 2011; Shotz Sports Bar and Grill and Eclipz Lounge. Nearby alternative eateries include Pegasus Taverna Greek restaurant, the Astoria pastry shop and Mosaic and Niki's Pizzeria.

    Atheneum Suite Hotel

    • The Atheneum Suite Hotel is situated just off Gratiot Avenue, two minutes walk from Greektown Casino. Guests staying at hotel are based within a mile of two of Detroit's main sporting venues. Comerica Park, home of the the Detroit Tigers Major League Baseball franchise and Ford Field, used by the Detroit Lions National Football League team, can be reached within five minutes on foot. All hotel guests receive a complimentary continental breakfast, but, as this is the only food available at the Milner Hotel, guests will need to visit Harmonie Cafe, Coaches Corner Bar and Grill and Bunchy's Chicken and Biscuits for further food and drink, each within walking distance. Should the weather permit, travelers can put together a picnic and enjoy an al fresco meal in the nearby Harmonie Park or Circus Grand Parks, accessible on foot.

    Detroit Regency Hotel

    • The Detroit Regency Hotel is adjacent to the Rivertown Warehouse District, a mile away from the Greektown Casino. The hotel is ideally placed for access to the Renaissance Center, the tallest building in the city, making this venue a popular point for business travelers. A complimentary shuttle service is operated by the hotel, with free transport to any destination within three miles -- guests can access Greektown Casino for free using this facility.
