- 1). Plug the scan tool wiring harness into the connector underneath the driver's side dashboard.
- 2). Start the Jeep and allow a few seconds for the scan tool to communicate with the vehicle computer.
- 3). Follow the scan tool manufacturer's instructions or on-screen display to read any stored diagnostic codes.
- 4). Select "erase" or "delete" codes (as applicable to your specific scan tool model) from the scan tool menu to erase OBD codes from the Jeep's computer memory.
