- 1). Scrape off the surface wax by breaking the wax with your fingers. Remove as much surface wax as possible.
- 2). Lay several paper towels on a counter.
- 3). Lay the stained fabric over the paper towels, with the stain facing down.
- 4). Soak a clean rag with dry-cleaning solvent and sponge the stain (on the wrong side of the fabric) so that the stain transfers onto the paper towels below the fabric. Work from the outside of the stain inwards, to avoid spreading the stain.
- 5). Remove the stained paper towels, and replace with clean sheets. Continue soaking the stain from the wrong side of the fabric, to transfer the stain onto the paper towels. Replace paper towels as needed. Continue until the stain is removed.
- 6). Wash the fabric using laundry detergent and the highest temperature allowable.
