- 1). Photograph your broken or missing Oriental chair leg with a digital camera. A photo will make it easier for an Asian furniture dealer to find a suitable replacement.
- 2). Contact an Asian furniture seller. In Los Angeles, Asian furniture stores tend to be downtown in the Chinatown area or in the San Gabriel Valley, which includes Monterey Park, Arcadia and Rosemead. Dealers in these locations sell a variety of Asian chairs and many manufacture their own furniture in Asia.
- 3). Email a photograph of your chair or take the photographs with you to a few furniture dealers you have contacted that can offer replacement legs.
- 4). Discuss replacement possibilities, prices and the time frame for receiving your new chair legs. Decide which furniture dealer you want to work with.
- 5). Drop off your chair and leave a deposit if necessary. When the legs are replaced, pick up your fixed chair.
