Many people waste their time at the gym or home working their midsection in anyway possible to spot reduce their abs.
Spot reduction is not an effective way to workout any part of your body let alone belly fat.

The best way to increase your metabolic rate is to use a workout routine that enables the use of your biggest muscles or muscle groups.
These types of exercises will also increase the fat burning hormones in your body which wont happen by doing any amount of ab workouts.
If you are really concerned about losing the belly fat, start pumping some iron! Using exercises like the squat, dead lift, presses, and cleans will work the best in burning fat.
And no ladies, these exercises will not make you look big and bulky.
It will help make you look leaner and more healthy.
Your are of focus should be using weight training at a high intensity levels.
This will get you in and out of the gym a lot faster than any boring cardio or aerobic exercise routine ever will.
Beyond the workout portion of losing weight, even more important is the nutrition side.
Fad diets like the no carb or no fat diets are not healthy for your body and will not help in keeping the weight off for good, only temporarily.
These types of diets are working against your body because they are not providing it with the nutrients it needs to succeed in losing weight and keeping the weight off.
Our bodies need a complete and balanced diet with foods that have all the vitamins and nutrients including plenty of carbohydrates, proteins, and fats.
Eat not to indulge and include the high intensity weight training in your fat loss plan and I promise you will be losing that belly fat in no time at all!
