- 1). Turn on the computer and connect the iPod's syncing cable to the computer's USB port. Plug the cable into the iPod as though you were going to sync the device.
- 2). Launch iTunes. Allow the iTunes software to recognize the iPod and sync with it. ITunes will bypass the lock to interface with the iPod's software and contents.
- 3). Disconnect the iPod and close iTunes. The screen lock will not reengage; the iTunes connection disabled it.
