- 1). Scrape as much glue from the concrete as possible using a floor scraper. Apply steady pressure when scraping to effectively remove the glue without scratching the floor. Vacuum up the loosened pieces.
- 2). Apply a generous coating of adhesive or mastic remover to the remaining glue spots using a garden sprayer or mop. Let the adhesive remover sit on the concrete for a minimum of 30 minutes. Scrape up the remaining glue spots with the floor scraper.
- 3). Mop the floor with warm, soapy water. Rinse with clean water and allow the floor to air-dry for at least 24 hours before painting, staining or applying new adhesive.
