Who ended up in a happier relationship? Cinderella or the Step Sisters? So we readthe Cinderella story enough times when we were young and even now, if you have children you have read to them the story over and over again.
I wonder whether you have ever analysed this story beyond the last sentence of the book " and they lived happily ever after"? The question is "between Cinderella and her two sisters who ended up being happier?" Lets start with Cinderella.
She went to the dance and left her shoe.
The prince came looking for her and married her (probably after a week-long search for her).
In modern times, I would imagine that Cinderella would later be very sad in her relationship for various reasons.
Probably in the sequel (yet to be published), they wouldemerge as being happier because:
You will need all these systems once you get married; to shareyour joyful and sad moments.
More importantly, lets not expect anything out of the ordinary from our current partners.
if something extra ordinary finally happens, it will be such a pleasant surprise.
So the verdict is out there on who was happier in "Season 2" of Cinderella; was it her or her step sisters? Wishing you all the best in your current and future relationships.

She went to the dance and left her shoe.
The prince came looking for her and married her (probably after a week-long search for her).
In modern times, I would imagine that Cinderella would later be very sad in her relationship for various reasons.
- First of all, she had "borrowed" clothes and shoesfrom the fairy godmother.
She created a false image totally unlike her daily self! For your first date even though you want to create a long-lasting impression, don't overdo it.
Do not go borrowing Paris Hilton's wardrobe for just a day yet the prince will come calling the next week! Create a "sustainable" imagebecause you will definitely go for more dates and you will soon run out of outfits to borrow from! I bet the prince was completely taken aback by her the second time he saw her. - Getting married to "strangers" is so not cool these days! even if the guy in question is a prince! You need to do a background check on your boyfriend before he springs up unpleasant surprises once you say "I do".
- Being elevated from an ordinary girl to a princess in a flash was enough to give the poor girl a heart attack.
The orientation classes at the palace, rules and regulations, do's and dont's, new dressing and eating decorum not forgetting the prince's sisters and brothers frowning at her mistakes every minute.
The paparazzi had a field day taking photos ofher public goofs! It is important to know that such "rags to riches"relationships are not so common.
Hence we need to learn to have realistic expectations in our relationships and we need to stop dating and marrying "potentials" (although he is poor now, he has the potential to be a prince in 5 years!).
Be as realistic as possible.
Probably in the sequel (yet to be published), they wouldemerge as being happier because:
- Although they are depicted as mean and full of envy, they were probably married to "ordinary men" and they were not expected to do anything "out of the ordinary".
- They had already missed getting married to the prince; despite using all the tricks in the book to fit into the glass slipper.
They had therefore gone throughtheir greatest "disappointment" in relationships, healed and moved on. - They had a support system thatworked for them when the relationships turned rocky! The 2 step sisters and their mother were tight.
When one of the sisters had a problem it is most likely that she shared with her mother and her sister.
On the other hand, Cinderella is portrayed as a lonely girl, isolated from her step-family, we are not told of what happened to her father.
It is likely that she had no one to share her joys and sorrows with once she got married.
This coupled with the fact that she might have married into a family of a mean queen and snobby sisters-in laws who considered her a social misfit.
You will need all these systems once you get married; to shareyour joyful and sad moments.
More importantly, lets not expect anything out of the ordinary from our current partners.
