- 1). Turn on your click wheel iPod.
- 2). Select the "Settings" main menu option.
- 3). Choose the "Brightness" option from the "Settings" menu.
- 4). Use the iPod's click wheel to adjust the backlight. Move your finger across the click wheel counter-clockwise to decrease the brightness and clockwise to increase the brightness. Once you've found an acceptable level of brightness, press the "Menu" key to save your settings changes and return to the main menu.
- 1). Turn on your iPod Touch.
- 2). Tap "Settings."
- 3). Select "Brightness."
- 4). Use your finger to slide the indicator bar until you reach your desired level of brightness. As you slide the bar, the iPod Touch's backlight will adjust automatically and instantly show you what that particular setting looks like. Once you've found an acceptable level of brightness, press the "Home" key to save your settings changes and return to the main menu.
