- 1). Hold the fixed bobber so the ball of it is in the palm of your hand. If you plan on fishing when the sun is low or at night, place the white side on the top of the water to make it easier to see. If you plan on fishing during daylight, turn the bobber so the red side is up.
- 2). Press down protruding tab at the top of the bobber while keeping your finger over the bottom protruding tab so the plastic tab retracts into the bobber and you can see the fine, metal hook that it conceals.
- 3). Clip the top hook on the fishing line of your rig so the top of the bobber is pointed toward your rod. Release the plastic tab, and it will cover the hook and hold the bobber in place.
- 4). Press down protruding tab at the bottom of the bobber while keeping your finger over the top tab so you can access the bottom hook. Pull the line tight along the bobber, pass it through the bottom hook and release the tab.
- 5). Adjust the depth of your bait by slightly pressing in on both the top and bottom tabs and sliding the bobber to the length you want your line to sink in the water.
