- 1). Double-click on the desktop icon for Publisher. If there is not a desktop icon, click on the "Start" button, move the mouse to "Programs," then "Microsoft Office" and select "Publisher."
- 2). Open an existing Publisher file by selecting "File," "Open" and locating the file on your computer.
- 3). Click on the "File" menu and choose "Save as."
- 4). Click on the "Save as type" drop-down arrow and scroll through the list to select the format you need.
- 5). Click on the "Save" button to convert and save the Publisher file to another extension.
