How to Make Music Fade out in Moviemaker

    • 1). Launch Windows Live Movie Maker. Click on the blue "Movie Maker" button. Select the "Open Project" option from the "Movie Maker" menu. Locate your project, using the file explorer window that appears. If you're working on a new project, then start assembling your pieces (see Tips).

    • 2). Click on the "Edit" tab, if you'd like to fade out music that's embedded in your video file. Click on the "Options" tab, if you'd like to fade out the music in a separate audio file.

    • 3). Click on the menu box next to the "Fade out" heading. Select the desired fade effect from the menu box. You can select a "Slow," "Medium" or "Fast" fade -- "None" is selected by default.

    • 4). Click on the "Play" button under the video preview window, to listen to your fade effect. You can drag the timeline slider ahead to cue the video up to the fade out point.

    • 5). Click on the "Movie Maker" button. Select the "Save Project" option from the "Movie Maker" menu to save your work.
