- 1). Open the "WinTopo" program. For example, find the shortcut on your Desktop or in your "Start" menu and double-click it. Wait for the program to load.
- 2). Open the JPG file you want to convert. Press "Alt" and "O" at the same time to bring up a new window to browse your hard drive. Click on options in the right pane to navigate to different areas such as your Desktop and other file locations.Find the image file in the left pane and double-click it.
- 3). Press WinTopo's "One Touch Vectorisation" button. It looks like a finger pressing down on a blue square. This will quickly convert the JPG image into a format containing relevant information for Autodesk software. You'll see the results in the main viewing area of WinTopo.
- 4). Click on "File" and then select "Save Vector as..." from the menu. Choose a location, such as your Desktop and click "Save." Now you can open that file using various Autodesk programs.
