- 1). Set the parking brake of your Cadillac and pull the hood release lever located under the driver's side dash board.
- 2). Slide the hood release lever located at the opening below the front grill with you fingers. Raise the hood.
- 3). Locate the cabin air filter housing on the firewall at the rear of the engine compartment on the passenger side.
- 4). Pry the plastic filter housing cover up with your fingers and place it aside.
- 5). Locate the filter element release lever to the left of the filter element. Push the lever outward and pull the filter element from the housing. Release the lever and discard the element.
- 6). Push the filter element release lever outward and slide a new filter element onto the dual tracks until it is fully seated. Release the lever.
- 7). Press the filter housing cover back into the opening until it snaps into place. Close the hood.
