- 1). Slip each round clamp over the vent hose at each end.
- 2). Push one end of the hose onto the vent on the back of the Maytag dryer so that the hose and clamp fit over the vent. Tighten the screw in the clamp with the screwdriver to secure the hose.
- 3). Fasten the other end of the hose to the vent in the wall behind the dryer and tighten the clamp.
- 4). Line up the three prongs on the plug of the Maytag dryer's electrical cord with the triangular power outlet on the wall behind the dryer. Push the plug straight in to the socket.
- 5). Slide the dryer back toward the wall. Avoid pushing the appliance so close to the wall that you crimp or crush the vent hose.
