- 1). Open the upper door on the furnace housing to access the air blower chamber of the furnace.
- 2). Remove the old filter. On some Day & Night furnace models, the filter frame slides into a channel from the top and is removed by pulling the top of the filter upwards out of the channel. Other models' filters are held in place by two twist levers and are removed by rotating the levers to the side to release the filter.
- 3). Insert the new filter into place, making certain the airflow arrows stamped on the filter's frame are pointed toward the air chamber.
- 4). Close the air blower chamber door.
