- 1). Prepare the dishwasher for installation by removing the toe panel from the front of the unit and revealing the junction box. Remove the cover of the junction box, and set it and the toe panel aside.
- 2). Ensure that the hot water supply line enters the dishwasher enclosure from the left side and that the electrical line enters from the right. Both lines should be at least 40 inches in length.
- 3). Place the dishwasher in front of the dishwasher enclosure with the front facing out. Verify that the unit is level before proceeding to the next step. If adjustments need to be made, use a standard screwdriver to turn the leveling adjustment knobs located on the bottom of the front side of the machine.
- 4). Turn off all electrical circuits that provide power to your dishwasher, and close the hot water valve that supplies water to it.
- 5). Place a layer of Teflon tape on the hot water input valve located on the rear of the dishwasher. Attach the hot water supply line to the input valve, and tighten the connection using an adjustable wrench.
- 6). Run the electrical wire under the bottom of the machine and through the rear side of the junction box. Connect the electrical supply line to the electrical wiring of the dishwasher, which is located in the upper portion of the junction box. Be sure to connect the wires by matching them with the appropriate color. Secure the electrical connections by screwing a wire nut over each one. Put all of the wires in the junction box, and place the cover back into position.
- 7). Connect the drain hose, located on the back of the dishwasher, to the drain or disposal located under your kitchen sink. Secure the connection by placing a spring clamp over it.
- 8). Slide the dishwasher into position, and ensure that it is level. Secure it in place by placing screws through the mounts located on either the top or side of the dishwasher.
- 9). Turn on the circuit breaker and water supply line running to the dishwasher. Inspect the area under the dishwasher for any leaks or electrical arching. Turn off the power and water immediately if either is noticed.
