- 1). Open NetMeeting by selecting the "Start" button in the lower, left-hand corner of your computer screen. Select "Run." When the Run dialog box appears, type "conf.exe" in the search box. Press "OK." Your NetMeeting window will open.
- 2). Initiate your NetMeeting by selecting "Call" and "Host A Meeting" on the menu bar. The "Host A Meeting" dialog box appears. Type the name of your meeting in the "Meeting Name" field. If you want to add a level of security to your meeting, add a meeting password in the "Meeting Password" field.
- 3). Adjust additional meeting settings by deciding if you will accepting incoming and outgoing calls. Check the appropriate box for your meeting in this field. Decide what tools you will use during your meeting. Check the features you plan to use. These features include: sharing, whiteboard, chat and file transfer. Click "OK" to confirm the settings.
- 4). Give your computer name the attendees to your meeting. They will connect to the meeting by clicking "Call" on the menu bar. Select "New Call." They will type in your computer name in the "To" field. Lastly, they will click on "Call" to connect to your meeting. As the meeting leader, you will click "Accept" or "Reject" for the attendees to come into your meeting.
