Although Maryland Heights, Missouri is a suburb of St. Louis, there is no shortage of activities within the town and the surrounding area. Maryland Heights boasts a water park, sports park, amphitheater and casino. For nightlife options within the town limits, the Westport Plaza is home to several restaurants, bars and night clubs. Individuals interested in finding night clubs outside of Maryland Heights need to venture no further than 10 miles from the town. - The St. Louis Funny Bone is located within the Westport Plaza and has been a mainstay for the area since 1983. Every Thursday, Friday and Saturday night, the Funny Bone hosts nationally recognized comedians.
Local talent is featured on Monday and Tuesday nights. In addition, Monday nights are Industry Nights. Any guest who is currently employed and shows a paycheck stub does not have to pay a cover charge. Tuesday nights are Open Mic Nights and feature over a dozen up-and-coming comedians. There is a two drink minimum for all guests.

On Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday nights, jazz and blues groups perform and patrons can attend the shows for free. The Pageant has a full bar and while it sells some food items, like pretzels and peanuts, guests are allowed to bring in outside food. The night club was designed so that all patrons, regardless of their location, will always be within 70 feet of the stage. Acts at The Pageant range from jazz to hard rock.
The Halo Bar is adjacent to The Pageant and patrons can move from one venue to the other through connected doors. The Halo Bar does not charge a cover and features musical acts and DJ performances that begin immediately after the shows at The Pageant.

Drink specials are available every night of the week. Monday nights are Open Mic Nights and are open to performers of every type, including karaoke performers and comedians. Tuesday through Thursday nights are Ladies Nights where, for a small cover charge, women can drink free all night. All DJs and bands featured at the Baha Rock Club are local.
