New York City will celebrate Gay Pride Week from June 16-24, 2012. As always, it will be an action-packed week of events to celebrate the LGBT community, commemorate the anniversary of the Stonewall Riots, and support the ongoing fight for gay liberation.

The theme surrounding the 2012 event is “Share the Love." Pride Week 2012 spotlights New York City as one of the world's most welcoming and inclusive LGBT destinations. Grand marshals will include Cyndi Lauper; Chris Salgardo, President of Kiehl's USA; and Phyllis Siegel & Connie Kopelov, New York City's first same-sex married couple.

- LGBT Pride Rally: Pride Week kicks off with a rally featuring community performers and speakers on June 16th. Chelsea Lately's Fortune Feimster and Queer Eye For the Straight Guy's Jai Rodriguez will MC. This event is free and open to the public; no tickets are necessary.

Admission: FREE - Pridefest: This free family street festival will feature vendors, entertainers, and community activities. The festival will take place on Hudson Street between Abingdon Square and West 14th Street.

Admission: FREE - The Dance on the Pier: The Dance on the Pier was born out of a time when LGBT New Yorkers could not dance openly and proudly together. This year's party will feature a live performance by Cyndi Lauper.
