- 1). Position the ice scraper at any corner of the window or windshield, holding it at a 45 degree angle.
- 2). Scrape either up and down or side to side, scraping in long, even strips. For thick ice, move the scraper up and down vigorously while scraping to chip away at the ice buildup.
- 3). Continue across all of your windows and the windshield.
