You should use a roller when painting a kitchen cabinet. They cover more surface area in less time, and do not leave brush strokes. - Paint brushes give you more control.paint brush 2 image by jimcox40 from Fotolia.com
A paint brush is better for cabinets with trim. You also have more control over potential drips. Pain brushes allow you to pay more attention to detail, and to be more meticulous in your strokes. If you use a roller, you may have to go back over the cabinet with a brush anyway to get around the hardware. - If you've removed all the hardware and your cabinets are flat faced--without any trim--you can use a roller. However, you should use a brush if your cabinets are at all textured, if they still have the hardware on them, or require more detailed painting because of trim.
