• 1). Register for a free Disqus account if you do not have one already.
  
  
• 2). Login to Tumblr. Click "Customize." Select the "Appearance" tab.
  
  
• 3). Enter your Disqus short name you created for your blog in the "Disqus Shortname" text box. Click "Save."
  
  

Adding Comments Manually to Tumblr Themes Without Disqus Support

• 1). Register for a free Disqus account if you do not have one already.
  
  
• 2). Copy the comment embed code.
  
  
• 3). Login to Tumblr. Click "Customize." Select the "Theme" tab.
  
  
• 4). Click "Enable custom HTML."
  
  
• 5). Paste the comment embed code immediately after the following code:

• 6). Click save.
