How to Use Email to Increase Your Blogging Audience

If you are a blogger then you will want to use every method available to get your message out to your potential audience.
Naturally once someone has visited your site you would prefer them to sign up for your daily, weekly or monthly newsletter.
There are a number of tried and proven methods of getting sign ups to your blog.
For instance you could have a sign in box prominently displayed at the top of your blog.
Additionally you may also have a drop down box which appears when someone first visits your blog.
Not all visitors to your site will appreciate a drop down box so think carefully as to whether this will act as a deterrent.
Certainly in can be irritating to go through a website only to be constantly presented with a drop down box at every turn.
However, whatever method you use it is possible that these practices may not attract as many sign ups as you would like.
One way to increase your potential audience is to start a series of blogs on your favorite niche subject.
Then when someone visits your site as long as they read the article to its completion you can offer to provide them with the balance of your series by email with a sign up box at the end of the blog post.
This method has worked well on many blog sites where the potential subscriber hasn't been prepared to sign up for initial special offers on a drop down box or other methods.
They are however enticed by a good article which promises more in later offerings in a series of posts which they can automatically receive by email.
For this technique to work effectively you will have to use it sparingly so it would not be a good idea to place your opt in box at the end of every post.
This option is best kept for a really good long initial post which then goes on to offer the reader more information available on that subject in a series of subsequent posts.
Another way to support your subscriber readership is to provide them with a partial post by email when you make a new entry in your blog.
Alternatively you could just send them the complete blog post though this would not be as effective if your intention is to get them to revisit your site.
Bear in mind that this facility to automatically send new blog posts may not be available within your current auto responder software.
