American Red Cross will hold a blood drive Tuesday, Dec. 2, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Christian Brothers University, 650 East Parkway S.
 
Cooper Young Night Out will be held Thursday, Dec. 4, from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. at businesses in the Cooper-Young neighborhood.

Germantown Community Theatre will present “The Velveteen Rabbit” Friday, Dec. 5, through Dec. 21 at GCT, 3037 Forest Hill-Irene Road.

Habitat for Humanity of Greater Memphis will host the 13th annual Valero Memphis Refinery Tool Box Bash Friday, Dec.

5, from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. at The Great Hall, 1900 S. Germantown Road. The event will feature live music, food and beverages, live and silent auctions, and a Wall of Wine mystery wine pull. Tickets are $50; proceeds benefit Memphis Habitat.

Literacy Mid-South will hold its annual book sale Saturday, Dec. 6, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Circuit Playhouse, 51 S. Cooper St. The sale will feature more than 5,000 new books, including hardbounds, softbounds and oversized books. Entry to the preview hour (9 a.m. to 10 a.m.) is $15.

L’Ecole Culinaire will host a gingerbread house class for parents and kids Saturday, Dec. 6, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., and on Saturday, Dec. 13, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., at L’Ecole, 1245 N. Germantown Parkway. Cost is $40 per parent/child pair, and $10 per additional child.

IRIS Orchestra will present “A Circle of Seasons,” highlighting IRIS’ string players, Saturday, Dec. 6, at 8 p.m. at Germantown Performing Arts Center, 1801 Exeter Road.

The Metal Museum will hold its holiday open house Sunday, Dec.

7, from noon to 5 p.m. at 374 Metal Museum Drive. Attendees can enjoy cider, live music and workshops while browsing unique gifts.

Gallery Ten Ninety One will host a reception for works by Bartlett Art Association members Sunday, Dec. 7, from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. in the WKNO Digital Media Center, 7151 Cherry Farms Road. The exhibit will be on display through Dec. 30.

The South Main Art Trolley Tourwill be held Friday, Dec. 26, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. in the South Main Historic Arts District.

SRVS will hold free dance and movement classes for adults with disabilities Wednesday, Dec. 31, at 10 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. at the SRVS Learning Center, 3971 Knight Arnold Road. Register lindsay.weaver@srvs.org to register or visit srvs.org.
