How to Look Extra Fab With These Simple Weight Loss Tips

There is nothing more depressing than being told that the dress that caught your eye does not come in your size.
Ouch! That must hurt.
Looking thin is fast becoming the trend in the society.
You see fashion models on the runway with the ''perfect'' figure, and we automatically want to look like them.
Do we let the society dictate how we should look? My answer is no.
As much as we want to lose weight to be socially accepted, we need to do it in a way that does not hurt us.
Losing weight to look good is one thing, being healthy is another.
If you follow these simple weight loss tips, you will be looking fab and healthy in no time.
You may have heard or seen these before, the truth is they really work.
  • Eat smaller meals spread over 3-5 hours a day- Serve your food in a smaller plate so that you are not tempted to eat too much all at once
  • Eat plenty of vegetables and raw fruits - At least 30 minutes before a main meal eat plenty of vegetables and/or fruits, this will make you fuller and stop you from stuffing yourself.
    Plus the added benefit of a glowing skin from eating fruits.
  • Don't skip breakfast- You have heard this over and over again, but this really works.
    A glass of milk or a bowl of cereal will get your metabolism started after a long night of sleep.
  • Eat your meal slowly - Do not rush your food.
    Do not eat when you are very hungry, take your time to set your meal on the table and sit down to eat.
    A simple trick is to eat with a teaspoon.
    When you eat slowly, air mixes with your food every time you open your mouth and you get fuller quickly.
  • Don't be too obsessed about calories - Eat more fiber and more protein.
    Fiber foods like cooked potatoes, brown rice, pasta or bran cereal will get you fuller quickly while protein foods like baked beans, oily fish, eggs or dairy will boost your metabolism and burn more fat.
  • More water, no soda - Replace soda with water.
    Not even diet soda.
    They offer no nutritional value.
    Studies have shown that even though diet soda does not increase calories,the artificial sweeteners found in them will increase your appetite and reduce your metabolism
  • Stay away from the kitchen at night - Little nibbles here and there while watching an evening programme can add up the pounds.
    Make it a point of duty not to eat after a certain time of the day.
    Most people recommend 7pm in the evening.
    If you have to take anything, take some low-fat yogurt or better still water.
  • Exercise - Do not under-estimate the power of a little exercise.
    Target those areas with stubborn fat like your arms, thighs and waist.
    Exercise does not have to be grueling, a simple walk 30 mins everyday or your regular house chores will do the trick.
    Now you have a tidy house and a trim body.
