- 1). Ride your motorcycle and pay close attention to your riding form. If you grip the handlebars too firmly, you may be inadvertently causing the motorcycle to pull right by applying unequal amounts of pressure to the grips. Ensure that your body weight is balanced on the motorcycle, and you are not leaning unintentionally.
- 2). Balance the gear in your saddlebags. If you are traveling with numerous items in your saddlebags, the weight should be distributed evenly on both sides to avoid inadvertent pulling.
- 3). Check the tires on your motorcycle. They should both be inflated to the recommended amount by the tire manufacturer. They should also be aligned properly; a rear tire that is out of alignment is most likely to cause drifting.
- 4). Inspect the drive belt. Ensure that the belt is in good condition with no debris, cracks or missing teeth. Check the belt tension and adjust it as needed, following the guidelines in your owner's manual.
