- 1). Wrap a towel around the shower arm.
- 2). Grip the towel with a pair of slip joint pliers.
- 3). Wrap another towel around the locking nut of your shower head. Turn the nut counterclockwise to loosen it. Remove the old shower head.
- 4). Clean the threads on the shower arm with a toothbrush to remove any old plumber's tape.
- 5). Wrap the shower arm threads with one layer of plumber's tape.
- 6). Screw on the new massaging shower head. Grab the locking nut with a towel, and tighten it with a wrench.
