- 1). Remove the battery from the drill when you notice the drill's performance is lacking. Signs of this include weakened drilling power -- the drill will move slower and sound as though it is dying. Eventually it will stop working due to a drained battery.
- 2). Place the battery into the battery charger.
- 3). Plug the battery charger into an electrical outlet. Most chargers will have a light displaying that the battery is charging.
- 4). Wait several hours for the battery to recharge. The amount of time you have to wait depends on the battery and charger. It will say in the user's manual how long you must wait before the battery is fully charged. If you don't have a user's manual, there is a chance it will say it on the battery or charger itself.
- 5). Remove the battery and place it back in the drill. You're now ready to get back to work.
