- 1). Turn the water off on your shower head.
- 2). Unscrew the plastic diverter from the original shower head.
- 3). Disconnect the hand-held shower head from the plastic diverter.
- 4). Connect the new plastic diverter to the hand-held shower head. Use a pair of pliers or a pipe wrench to make sure the diverter is connected tightly.
- 5). Connect the plastic diverter attached to the hand-held shower head to the main shower head. Use a pipe wrench or a pair of pliers to secure the plastic diverter tightly.
- 6). Turn the shower on and look for any leaks. If you see any, turn the shower off and tighten the diverter properly.
