For over 30 years, Transformers have inspired kids and adults alike and now they are transforming The Children's Museum of Indianapolis in its latest exhibit. Transformers: Robots in Disguise celebrates the longevity of the cartoon/toy figure's popularity and entices multiple generations to hands-on fun.
The exhibit features all the favorite Transformers characters including Bumblebee, Megatron, Optimus Prime and the Autobot army.
Transformers: Robots in Disguise spans the entire Transformers history from Generation 1, released in 1984 to the newest animated series.
"TRANSFORMERS prove that ordinary things can become extraordinary with an active imagination and great engineering,” said Dr. Jeffrey H. Patchen, president and CEO, The Children’s Museum of Indianapolis. “Just when you thought you were looking at a cool Camaro, you realize that underneath the shell is a giant AUTOBOT with a taste for adventure named BUMBLEBEE. We want families to explore how there really is more to the world than meets the eye and as they learn that together, they will share the joy of puzzle solving and discovery.”
The exhibit includes rare and collectable toys, comics, memorabilia, film props such as:
- A scale replica of an Optimus Prime character
- A talking 2015 Bumblebee Camaro
- Various movie props
- Extensive displays of TRANSFORMERS toys
