- 1). Apply 1 tbsp. of creamy cleanser, baking soda or a mild cleaning powder to the black marks. These cleansers are mildly abrasive and won't scratch the sink. For added stain-fighting power, choose a creamy cleanser that contains chlorine bleach.
- 2). Scrub the stains lightly with a sponge or microfiber cloth. Rinse with running water.
- 3). Dab enough vinegar on a paper towel to moisten it. Place the towel over the rust stains and mineral deposits. Wait 15 minutes. Remove the paper towel, rinse well and clean as previously directed.
