Located approximately 30 minutes from Orlando in Seminole County, Winter Springs, Florida has a variety of parks within the city limits and surrounding locations. The Winter Springs Parks and Recreation Department (WSPRD) provides nine recreation areas for sports, hiking and picnicking. Winter Springs is also close to several lakes including the 10,000-acre Lake Jesup and Wekiwa Springs State Park. - The WSPRD maintains several neighborhood parks such as Trotwood and Moss Parks that have playgrounds and fields or courts for sports. Many also have barbecue pits and grills for outdoor gatherings. Trotwood Park, for example, has tennis, basketball and racquetball courts as well as fields for soccer and softball. Moss Park, on the other hand, has only a volleyball court, but also offers a playground and picnic shelter.

Winter Springs, FL 32708 - In addition to the neighborhood parks, the WSPRD cares for acres of nature trails mainly in two parks, Central Winds Park and Bear Creek Nature Trail. Central Winds Park is a community park with sports fields and courts, picnic areas, a dog park and a nature trail. Bear Creek Nature Trail is a more natural area with only a few picnic tables that parallels Bear Creek.
