Comet Lodge Cemetery is a historical site rather than a current cemetery. The grounds were a Duwamish burial ground before pioneers came to the area, but Seattle pioneers continued to use the burial ground as a cemetery. Some of the graves were bulldozed in the 1980s to make way for new homes, which caused some controversy. There’s still a site to visit today.

Founded in 1903, Crown Hill Cemetery is another historical cemetery in Seattle, but one that has thousands of plots still available. The cemetery offers both traditional and urn in-ground burials, cremation niche burials, and also allows upright monuments.

Evergreen Washelli has three locations in Seattle, Bothell and Briar, each with different services (listed below). There are two cemeteries within Evergreen Washelli. Evergreen Washelli Cemetery is located in Seattle and offers both monument and lawn-level plot areas, both above and below ground plots, and both traditional and cremation burials. Fort Lawton is a cemetery for military, their families and civilian military employees. Fort Lawton was located on the site of what is now Discovery Park and the cemetery spans from 1902 to the present. The cemetery no longer has available plots available as remaining plots are reserved.

Kirkland Cemetery is the final resting place of several local pioneers and (as of early 2014) was full, but has a waitlist in case plots become available. There is still space for urn and niche burials.
