- 1). Launch Microsoft Word from the Start menu.
- 2). Click on "File" and select "New Blank Document." Click on "View" and select "Web Layout." This will give you a good picture of how your document will actually look like on the Web.
- 3). Design the web page. Click on "Insert" and select "Picture" to add pictures or "Clip Art" for images on the web page. Use a large and bold font to type a headline. You may also use "WordArt" to design a more stylish header. The "WordArt" text box is located under "Pictures" under "Insert." You may also choose a background color if you do not want to go with white. Click on "Format" to select "Background," "Borders and Shading" and other format options.
- 4). Click on "File" and select "Web Page Preview" once you are done designing and creating the web page. This will open the web page in your default Internet browser to give you a better understanding of how it will actually look like on the Web.
- 5). Go back to Word, click on "File" and select "Save as."
- 6). Type a name to name the web page and choose a secured location on your hard drive where you want to save the web page.
- 7). Select "Web Page, Filtered" under "Save as type" drop-down menu. Hit "Save."
