- 1). Take the ice basket out of the unit.
- 2). Add 1 part lemon juice and 1 part vinegar to the ice maker area.
- 3). Plug in the unit and press the clean button for six to seven seconds. The unit will self-clean.
- 4). Unplug the unit once it stops running.
- 5). Place the unit's drain plug over a sink, and remove the drain cap. Let the unit fully drain, and replace the drain cap.
- 6). Plug in the unit and run the self-clean again without lemon or vinegar. Unplug and drain the unit again.
- 7). Replace the drain cap and dry the interior of the unit.
