How to Volunteer for Tissue Regeneration & Cloning

    • 1). Get examined by your primary care physician. Tell the scheduler when you book your appointment that you need to have a full physical examination and that you wish to speak to your doctor about your overall health. Let them know you'd like to join a clinical trial for tissue regeneration and cloning. During the exam, ask your doctor if an exam by a dermatologist is required so you are sure your skin is viable for regeneration testing and research purposes. Get a copy of the exam and have supplemental results, such as blood work, sent to you once the results are available.

    • 2). Search for a clinical trial dealing with tissue regeneration and cloning through the U.S. National Institute of Health (NIH). Using the search function, search for the terms "Tissue Regeneration," "Tissue Cloning" and "Tissue." This will bring up a list of clinical trials throughout the United States. The listing will note whether the trial is currently soliciting volunteers, already in progress or recently completed.

    • 3). Read the trial parameters for each trial listed as "Recruiting." Read the volunteer criteria section, which outlines the requirements for participation. For example, stated requirements will note minimum and maximum age for participation, medical conditions deemed to be automatic exclusions and geographical location of volunteers. Read the overview carefully to determine what trials you are qualified for and which are ones are close enough to your home that you can actively participate.

    • 4). Contact potential trials after reading through the list. Be specific when you make contact and let the trial administrator know that you are interested in tissue regeneration and clinical volunteer opportunities. Follow up with all requests for information and proceed to participation if you are accepted in to the trial or research study.
